That's good news that your CB/DVD issue is solved.
Why I didn't mention REGEDIT is because in your profile you said "Some Experience" and I was hesitant to mention it as it is so easy to screw up your Operating system. I should have asked were you confident in editing the Registry.
As for your current issue there are a number of things we can try.
    Run this FIXIT.

Next I would run a full scan with Malwarebytes free version.
    Here.

See how you go and get back as there are other solutions we can try.

Any CHF Techy feel free to post your ideas on this issue.

Ran the FIXIT but "there were no problems to be fixed". Pop-up still there. With regard to DVD/CD solution I still consider myself a bit of a neophyte in this area but will always try to follow instructions. Do you thing the pop-up is aan Adobe problem or an IE problem? Thanks again

Get the make and version number of your CD/DVD
Google their site and see if any updated drivers are available.
Not sure where the problem lies as yet.
Also check your Windows updates (Custom) and see if there is any relevant updates.

Hi, Did you download and run the Malwarebytes scan that DSTM asked for?
If so, it should have opened a notepad log or report, can you please copy and paste that in your next reply as there may be some malware problem. If there is, we will ask one of our security experts to take a look.

    Nev.

Thanks, Nev for your input. Yes, I downloaded and ran the Malwarebytes scan and it showed no issues. But the pop-up is still driving me nuts.
