Windows Configure Search Setting Msg

    I've been getting the following message when I open IE or folders:

    "Please wait while Windows Configure search Settings 1.1."

    Then:

    "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
    unavailable.Click Ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder
    containing the installation package search setting.msi in the box below".

    When I do that, I get the message " Searchsetting.msi File Not Found." Error
    1706.No valid source could be found for product search setting 1.1 Windows
    Installer could not continue.

    I tried do a system restore back before this started happening but I'm still
    getting the message.

    Any suggestions?

    It sounds like you need the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility:
