Windows backup is broken

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Will Pittenger, Sep 27, 2009.

  1. I keep getting "Access Denied". To what? It won't give me any more
details. I don't know if it is complaining that it can't write to the
destination drive (an HD attached via USB) or if it can't read some
file. If it is the latter, why isn't it moving on?

Originally, since it didn't offer to let me specify the account to run
under, I let it use the default. That was when I started getting the
error. I thought I could fix it by telling it to use mine and ensured
it had my correct password. But I am still getting the error. Windows
Explorer can access the destination without issues.

  3. I have also asked in irc://irc.freenode.net/##windows, but I can't get a
response as the channel is too busy. My posts just get buries in other
    conversations.

So it would really help if someone here would respond.
