This may look OT, but I assume that those participating in Win7 ngs have
already converted successfully, but perhaps some of the posters here
have had the same problems I've had the Win7 Upgrade Advisor Beta.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to run this program. I have downloaded
and installed it four time, and have tried to run it at least 8 times,
usually with "administrator privileges". The only indication that it is
running is Task Manager--no hourglass or any other sign that it is
running. The trials have been anywhere from 15 minutes to over three
    hours. I am running on a Dell 531, Vista SP1 (haven't yet loaded SP2).
2.80 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, 3 Gb memory. Any advice?

Have you tried rebooting, and then tried running it again?

As a matter of fact, yes I have. By the way I failed to mention that I
am running Vista Home Premium. And thanks for your reply.
