Windows 7 ISV Compatibility Test

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Win7ISVCompat, Jun 22, 2009.

  1. ::In anticipation of the release of *Windows® 7* and *Windows Server®
2008 R2, Microsoft wants to give companies who produce online
applications the ability to check compatibility before these
technologies are released. The goal of the program is to reduce
incompatibility issues that users who make the transition may face. *::
*::Applications compatible with Windows Vista should see a
straightforward approval process. To get the process started or to find
out more information, please see the following site:

    SNIP all of the post.

You know that this looks so much like a post that would send someone to a
site that automatically downloads malware to someone's computer. The typing
is atrocious, the website is not labeled as a Microsoft web server site and
most people don't have an idea what ISV is. The site even opens with
blocked content in IE 8 with high enough security settings as it tries to
automatically load files through IE. Looks so much like malware that it
should not be posted this way.

Even if valid, this should not be posted in an open newsgroup but only to
those newsgroups that have a specific need to know about the compatibility
test, i.e., "companies who produce online applications the ability to check
compatibility" as most that would use these features would subscribe.
