There were a lot of Photos on the One Drive, but mostly what I already have copies of on Flash Drives, but there were none of the more recent ones I had been saving! I checked in all folders and nothing there, including the Document folder, ..which is also strangely empty! and Yes USB30FD (F) is a flash drive which I now removed. I ran a complete jpg. search of the H drive, and it did bring up a few of my older photos ..but under different names, mostly it was images associated with the Windows program!

I'm finding it hard to imagine how your other stuff is there, but your pictures aren't. Are you certain you saved those pictures to that drive, or perhaps you deleted them inadvertently? Well, either way, that is all the suggestions that can be given. It seems the only option left, is taking it to a reputable shop for data recovery as Tony mentioned.

That's the big mystery to me as well! and also the My Pictures Folder is not there as well! ...All I ever save my photos to is My Pictures! and I'm very cautious about deleting anything! I'm an Artist and a Photographer, so Images are my main commodity! I want to Thank You Seth Anthony and Tony D, for giving me all of your expert advice! You guys have helped me, many times in the past with PC problems, and I really appreciate your time and patience! ...John

Hello @Seth Anthony & @Tony D ....Today I used a program Stellar Data Recovery's Free Scan to look for my lost photos, It took 10 hours of running to find them, but it was successful! Unfortunately in previewing them, I see that close to 98 percent of them, are damaged beyond use! most of them have this grey area over most of the photo! So I will now be using, Google Drive to sync with my PC and have a cloud copy of photos/Files in case of another HD burn! ...I'm just taking the loss and moving on! ...Thanks again John

Thanks Yes I'm going to use that HD Dock with an extra Hard Drive connected USB to my PC. ....As a last Question! Can I take an operating Hard drive, with Windows 7 Pro OS, and put it into the PC that had the corrupted HD? ...because that PC, has far more Ram memory then the machine I am now left using! Thanks!

You can try. If the hardware is close enough it'll work. Some drivers will probably be missing. Once you get it connected to the Internet they may download and install.
