I've just went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 but switched back to Windows
7 because of the following problems with Windows 10:

    1. It lost documents, pictures, and downloads.
2 How can I get Windows 10 to show the above items? It has things
I like about it but not enough to lost my documents, pictures and
    downloads

Can any one help me out with this problem?

    Thank you,
    Terry

What make/model PC do you have? You need to make sure that your PC is supported for windows 10 before making the decision to upgrade. Just because you have a qualifying OS for upgrade doesn't mean your hardware is or that the vendor will in the future by means of drivers/firmware and BIOS updates.

The windows.old was in, would be in Windows 10 after Upgrading from 7.

Suggest 10 did not lose anything, very unlikely that happen. Maybe, instead of going backwards ask someone familiar w/ Win10, there are a few here including myself.

Hard to offer info about 10 now that you went back to 7.

When you get back on Win10 check out Get Started. Good learning/info/guidance tool right in the OS for you.

One thing I will always suggest to any one before they upgrade to any new OS over their current one is BACKUP. This way for what ever reason the files get corrupt, dislocated, deleted what ever you still have them.

Did you run the HDD search to see if it could find a file on the system while you were on ten? This would of given you a starting place to look for other files.

Hard to tell, know, guess with the info given. If this was the case, do the Upgrade again and (this time) tell it to keep everything. And Bob's your uncle Problem solved

I am confident if Terry optimizes Windows 7 first and removes any old programs not being used, the upgrade will be successful.
Making sure to turn off any AV they may have running. I have had friends screw up on three occasions as they just keep pressing the "Next" button without reading the "On Screen" prompts carefully..

Can you tell this forum how you were able to get those pictures and documents back just from going back to Windows 7 from Windows 10? Moreover, what was the procedure that you used to go back to Windows 7 to save the data?

I ask this because in now 59 Windows 7 upgrades to windows 10 I have not lost a single customers data. Nothing.

Thanks everyone who responded to help me solve the problem I was having with upgrading from Windows 7 to 10. Because
of all of you I was able to successfully install Windows 10. I truly appreciate it.
