Hi again; It seems like my newest fix was a semi temporary thing with Windows Explorer seemingly still working but the taskbar is back to taking a long time to load & Microsoft Edge is like it's a totally new install with it's own set of bugs like not importing my user names & passwords & is probably another Windows 10 thing. But I tried running the chkdsk /r , I started it & went to bed & just let it run & the next morning there was a small error window saying it couldn't run it (I should've wrote everything down but was discouraged & moved on) but plan on running it again. Did I mention how much I HATE Windows 10 ! Any advice on the importing user names & passwords, I have the CSV file saved to my USB flash drive from my external saved hard drive & it has worked before but not since the reinstall on this. I ordered a 2TB hard drive to stick in this & do a full install from my Windows 10 disk but want to stabilize this for now until I can get everything ready to go. Thank you all again.

Everything sure seems to point to a failing hard drive.
The next step would be to replace the drive and do a clean install.

I ran the chkdsk /r which took 2 1/2 hours which I baby-sat every second of & in the end it said fixing & a 100% & I "think" scanning, it flashed by really quick Was there supposed to be something else pop up like a summary or something to let you know if it did anything or found anything ? I didn't get anything & this glorious Windows 10 in it's infinite wisdom took around 8 minutes after that ran for the taskbar to load the icons & then get the Windows start-up sound which is waaay beyond annoying & I have no clue if that effected any summary or logs or whatever from popping up. Is there a hidden log file somewhere that would have the scan results ? It seems like a lot of time used up to just get that quick little message in a black bar. But until I know for a 100% certain I'd have to "assume" the hard drive is probably OK yet. The last time I ran it & just went to bed there was that little window saying I couldn't use this tool. But thank you all again.

It actually is not safe to assume your hard drive is okay.
It is showing most of the signs of failing.
In fact, the only sign you haven't mentioned is a clicking sound.
(It doesn't necessarily have to make a weird sound to be bad.)
To view the log, follow these steps listed below....

Hello again; This is the final up-date on my problems, the Microsoft Edge took a dive & I was trying to fix that & did the repair thing on it & everything went down hill from there & Windows 10 took it's final **** on me & wouldn't boot up & any attempts to try to fix or repair it were useless & luckily (I hope) my nephew gave me a mini Dell he had just bought off Amazon (alleged refurbished) that started crashing hard shortly after he got it & was basically a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 64 bit & I did an on board reinstall & "so far" it *seems* to be working OK but with Windows 10 I'm not holding my breath. But I have a new plan for the 1 that just died & put a new 2TB hard drive in it & do a fresh install from the Windows 10 Pro CD & kind of start out fresh again, but I do have 1 question for you all, with using a new blank hard drive & a fresh install of Windows from a CD will I have to reinstall all my motherboard drivers or will they be retained on the motherboard ? I want to thank all of you again for all the help you have given me I really do appreciate it all. Thank You.

You may have to get some drivers but the main ones will be there. Every motherboard is different so it is hard to say which ones. Before you do a fresh install go to the device manger and check what hardware you have or use speccy.
