While in the Power & Sleep settings page, go down to Related Settings and click on Additional power settings.

From there click on Choose what closing the lid does.

You can make you choices there. So many choices MS have given you. Have fun.
Note: It may not wake when you open the lid. You may have to press a button on the keyboard to wake it up.
Note: It's best to restart your computer regularly. It clears things out and may install updates.

I still am not sure what number of minutes to put in the "PLUGGED IN" boxes under Settings>System>Display>Power&Sleep>Plugged In.
Right now I have them set at 1 minute but am not sure what that really means. Is this good, bad, right, wrong, or what?
I just want to start laptop in morning., use through day putting it to sleep by closing lid, and shutting down at bedtime. But not sure what numbers of minutes to put in the boxes. Any suggetions or explanations would be helful and welcomed. Seems to be working OK but I am unsure what minutes numbers really mean. The above pictures were what I see but they show 1 hour. Should I set them at 1 hour as in the above picture? Or something else. I am talking about SLEEP under Power & Sleep and Plugged IN. Sorry for my ignorance but I want to be sure. Thanks. BG.

If you don't want it to go to sleep by itself, in the Sleep section of the Power & Sleep settings, scroll down to Never.

At first I thought it meant go to sleep a certain number of minutes after lid is closed so I set it for 1 minute. But then I was not sure. Now action for closing lid means it goes to sleep and I hoped the 1 minute setting means almost right away. I will get this right yet. It is always plugged in, on during day when in use and in sleep when I use and close lid, and hopefully goes to sleep soon after I close lid. Then at bedtime I shut it down. That is what I do with my windows 7 but hardly ever use the ASUS W-10 and am unfamiliar with its settings. Believe I am finally learning.
