Why Is It?

I was lurking at the Windows Vista Spanish newsgroup and I noticed that
everyone there is being very civilized, educated and polite. This group,
OTOH, is a cesspool. It must be the influence of the posters like Frank
and the Nymshifter who hail from the USA.

My challenge to Frank and the Nymshifter: Don't post here for two weeks
and I bet the group becomes civilized, educated and polite. Well, Frank?
Well, Nymshifter? Can you do it?

I knew you were smoking too much POT. You have it backwards. Ubuntu is the
TOY OS because it doesn't run any of the popular software programs out
there. For real work you need a real OS. Windows 7 will do the job very
well. For those who can't save the money for Windows 7, Ubuntu will work
but will be crippled on the PC. But if all you need to do is surf the net
and read e-mail, I guess Ubuntu is just fine for those tasks.

Yeah, it will be excellent for playing video games. It's common
knowledge that Ubuntu would be better for gaming as well but the game
makers aren't porting to Ubuntu because it isn't popular enough yet.
When it is, you'll see them porting games to Linux as well.

Probably you are wrong.
Linux sucks for gaming.
Even a simple game like openArena on linux plays and looks like crap.

The graphics drivers just aren't up to the task.

And distros like fedora are moving to open source drivers like nouveau....so
it will only get worse.

Linux keeps going nowhere fast.
