VISTA SP2

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by keepout@yahoo.com.invalid, Jun 3, 2009.

  1. Ok what's up ? I just upgraded to SP2, and now the machines running like
molasses, not to mention all the security stuff it 'fixed ???' that now needs
    passwords where they didn't before.

Please tell me there's a fix for SP2, or a way to remove it !

I don't know if I have a virus or this SP2 is just bad. The ram runs at 50% or
    more when nothings happening.
I don't use IE7, yet there it was in my task manager big as life. I killed it
thru TM. and got some responsiveness back.
I have no idea what stuck it there. It's like garbage collection has taken a
    holiday.

Is there a fix yet ?
Why don't they test this stuff before they release it ?
I know Beta testers cost money. Several million users attached to windows
    update are free..

I am using Windows 7 RC with reasonable performance. It doesn't expire for
    a year so...

Did you disable your Anti Virus and 3rd party Firewall while you were installing the

Why don't you look in Control Panel and see for yourself?

Sounds like you have your own peculiar system problems. I haven't heard
anyone else complaining of those problems. The service pack installed
flawlessly for me and I have had no problems at all.

    > Is there a fix yet ?

I don't think one is needed.

What makes you think they didn't?
