Vista general failure cant ping

    my setup:
    Zyxel EQ-660HW ADSL GATEWAY
    Compaq Presario 5000 Winxp SP3 home Ethernet
    HP Pavilion DV6755 Vista Home Premium Wireless

    Compaq can ping itself and Vista, Vista can ping Compaq but not itself?
    Vista has mcafee installed
    When I try to ping vista get error message General Faliure?
