Vista Clipboard Issues

    Hey there,

I'm just wondering if there is some kind of resolution to the Vista
    clipboard issue as yet?

For those who don't know what I'm taking about, using vista, CTRL+C does
    not always work.

I know, some of you are going to say, yes it does, you must have
    something running, but I don't. I'm a professional software engineer, and I
use the clipboard keyboard shortcuts several hundred times a day, and in XP
it *never* fails; but often fails in Vista.

Thanks for any help in advance!

    Nick.

    Sorry, can't duplicate it here.

    Hi Pauli,

As I mentioned it's not a consistent problem, there isn't anything that
I can isolate that causes the problem. It just doesn't always happen. It
happens every day for me, on 3 totally different computers, running Vista, 2
    laptops and 1 desktop.

    Nick.

I experience the same every now and then. I have a clipboard viewer program
in the background, which I thought was the problem. I do Ctrl+C, it's not
in. I do it again, it's in then.
No big deal, but once a day, yes.

Hurrah! Someone else who gets it! See I'm not imagining it. lol!

Yeah it winds me up, especially copying and pasting URLS from a browser to
an MSN window, that fails many times and I end up sending the wrong link to
people or sending them something entirely different.

CTRL+C should be something you can rely on, it's not in Vista, I now
instinctively press it several times and this even doesn't help all the
    time.

If I had anything dubuious running on my machine I would hope that Live One
Care would pick it up, considering I subscribe. But I don't think that's
the case anyway because it happens on every Vista system I've used to date.

Nice to see there is still no reply off Microsoft actually admitting this
    fault.

    *ucking rediculous...

  8. Just to register that I experienced these issues very regularly in Vista. It was so bad that I started automatically pressing Ctr-C three times in a row, then right-clicking and selecting 'Copy' every time I wanted to copy to the clipboard. This combination seemed fairly dependable.

Having moved to Windows 7 a few weeks ago, I haven't experienced the same problems, but then I haven't yet dropped my Vista habit!
