Virtual XP

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Van Chocstraw, Oct 20, 2009.

  1. If Windows 7 home premium will run Windows virtual PC why won't it run
the Virtual XP that runs on Windows 7 Ultimate trial currently?
A virtual machine shouldn't be checking what host is running the machine
    should it?

Read the thread ' XP Mode under Windows 7 ' posted on 11 Oct 2009.

  3. Because the Windows XP VM is licensed only to be used as part of the Virtual
XP mode in Windows 7. It's not licensed for use in any other version of
Windows nor for any other use than the one it was provided for.
