Ubuntu is SHEET

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Stan Starinski, Sep 24, 2009.

  1. Imagine that Linux and Ubuntu and all those variations of that crappy OS are
FREE for the taking. You would think that everyone would rush to install
Ubuntu and ditch Windows. Tell you what. It isn't happening.

The reason is that people are all gung-ho on the concept of free software
and open source. Once they realize that it's SHEET, they quickly remove that
crappy software from their PC's and go back to a real solution. Microsoft
    Windows.
Remember Ubuntu is FREE and Linux is FREE and still NOBODY wants it. That
should tell you all you need to know about that piece of sheet software.

The above commentary does not apply to servers using Linux. Only the
    desktop.

P.S. I know the name does not equal product itself, but sometimes you have
to say what you have on you rmind:
Ubuntu as a brandname is also sheet.
Are they trying to be original and resort to using African tribe name ti
    garber 3d world's attention?
Well they succeeded. But here in the 1st world we use Wndows.

They only use Windows because it comes with their PC when they bring it home
from the store. Once home, and plugged in, they get to work. It's only later
when it becomes choked up with a virus that they turn to Linux or a Mac.

People who buy machines without an operating system generally install *nix.
The best example are all the servers that run the internet and the worlds
super computers. They all require a robust and secure system that only Unix
    and Linux can provide.

Imagine if most of the worlds servers ran on MS Server2003 with Frontpage
Server Extensions controlling all the worlds websites. What a friggin
    nightmare it'd be!

  3. 1) You diverted the subject to Servers.
I don't argue *nix controls much of that market, in fact the entire reason
UNIX was created decades ago was for mainframes, etc.
However as a desktop OS running my little personal business on a personal
computer, thanks - but no thanks for Lee Nux.
I prefer an OS tha texists in one variations, that no one can rewrite to
their liking and then wander amongs thousands of different flavors, when
communicating with someone only to find out they run yet another mutation of
    that OS.
    I want standartization. Manageability. Uniformity.
I don't want to live in a world where some people elect to drive on the left
& other on the right side of the road.
Telecommunications, national transportation, energy, and stuff like that
    should not be chaotic.
    Lee Nux creates chaos.

    2) The concept of working for nothing revolts me. Linux is a
job-destructor. Because it's free it kills high-paid white collar jobs.
These people stop buying as much stuff as they used to.
You lose your sales. Then likewise you cut spendind.
The vicious circle is now completed.
It's just a piece of software one might say, but even one piece revolts me.
I came from Russian to USA in 1993 NOT to be re-introduced to that lame
system that destroyed so many countries, known as COmmunism.
Lee Nux versus Windows is OK as long as you pay for it.
Free Software however is something you may regret decades later.
And note how it's mostly promoted by some Latin AMerican and SOuthern Europe
proponents, DESPITE being born in Scandinavia.
Those are the hotbeds of Communism.

On October 22 I will place an order for Windows7 Ultimate at zipzoomfly.com.
Sorry, no Lee Nux for me.
