    Hi,
I purchased a new Dell laptop with inbuilt Vista 32 bit. When ever I type
emails in web based like hotmail and yahoo, my keyboard cursor goes very
slow. It is really very slow and I have to type the matter in word and then
cut and past it. I restart the system but same in both hotmail and yahoo.
    Please help.
My laptop is updated as of date for wndows and all requred drivers.
I am using McAfee AntiVirus software.

    Several points (and questions):

    1. Are you saying that typing in IE is very slow, but typing elsewhere
    is OK?

    2. How slow is "very slow"? Please put a number on it, even if just
    approximate.

    3. What is your hardware configuration? In particular, how much RAM do
    you have?

    4. How long have you had the computer.

    5. You say you use McAfee AntiVirus. Sorry to tell you, but that's the
second worst anti-virus program available. Only Norton is worse.

    6. You say what anti-virus program you use, but you say nothing about
what anti-spyware software you run. Unless you run at least one (and
preferably two or more) anti-spyware programs, you are not adequately
    protected.

    7. Is your security software (McAfee and anything else you run) kept
    up to date?

Despite the above questions, I don't strongly suspect that your
problem is malware infection, if it's only IE that seems slow. But
    answer the questions, please.

    1. Typing in web email window is slow. The curser moves slow. I type normally
but after sometimes the characters are visible on the screen.
It is a new laptop only few days.
It is Dell C2D with 3 GB RAM 320 GB HDD
It was preloaded with McAfee Suite. I will remove this and give a try.
I am not using any spyware applications on my laptop just antivirus.
Windows and Mcafee is updated daily.
Otherwise out of web mail my laptop is just normal.

To all helpers here: I think the key wording here is WEB MAIL.

Who is your ISP and what type of connection to the internet do you have?

An email scanner set up in McAfee will also cause this issue.

    Your hardware sounds fine.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->

No, I don't recommend running with *no* security software. I recommend
replacing McAfee with something better, not eliminating anti-virus
software entirely. The best anti-virus is NOD32 and if you want a free
    one, get Avast.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > I am not using any spyware applications <!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->

Good. Use *anti*-spyware applications. If you use none you are playing
with fire. As I said I recommend running at least two, and the two
best are both freeware: MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and
    SuperAntiSpyware.

It seems to me that is exactly the issue.
The first thing I did was to get rid of McAfee on my machine and never was
sorry for it. There are plenty of other and more effective programs out
    there, even free ones.

Probably not. Typing in a browser window isn't affected by the
connection to the ISP or by anti-malware software. Something else is
going on. Get Sysinternals Process Explorer (free) and see if something
    is hogging the CPU.

This is not any browser window, but rather 'web email' only.

Hogging my CPU only when I use web based emails? Otherwise internet browsing
    is very normal.
