TWO (2) SIMPLE QUESTIOS - WinExplorer

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Stan Starinski, Sep 26, 2009.

  1. Not terribly important but if someone could give me a hint:

    a) I forgot how to prevent ZIP (compressed) folders from appearing as
separate folders in left-pane in WinExplorer in ListView.
These I prefer to see as files, which they are; not as folders. For
example a foldetree containing just 5 subfolders, annoys me by showing 30
other "folders" on the left which are in fact zip files.

[IMG] Suddenly mouse right-click (contect menu) -->create new menu, in
WinExplorer, is showing all icons corresponding to each "new" filetype (new
text, new Word doc, etc) in Black & White. What happened to colors (used to
be a unique colored icon for each new filetype to br created?).
As I said it's not too important, but it kind of not looking good here...

ALL other icons in WinExplorer are unaffected, looking fine (yellow, blue,
green, little icon/pictures for each filetype created by a specific
    application). Only right-click is showing
    gloomy Black&Whites.

Maybe the program that made the 'New' context menu was uninstalled.

  3. Maybe... so it would turn all other icons into Black&White?
I am probably asking a stupid question, but OK, if it wants to be
    Black&White from now... strange
