Hi there, I have had some problems with Task Manager not being able to close
programs properly, especially Firefox and Google Chrome.
These have jammed up and blocked the browsing on my computer and when I have
closed them, I find thay are still showing in Task manager. No matter how
many times I try to close them there, the won't close. A reboot in necessary
    to get things going again.
Also, email and newsgroup traffic is not affected by the these jam ups.

I an using Vista Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron 545 computer. 4 gig Ram.

Stan - most software is not from Microsoft. I use Firefox almost
exclusively on Vista. This is NOT the issue.

  3. Firefox & GoogleChrome are not from Microsoft.
    Stop using it.

    Try (free) Sysinternals Process Explorer.
