SP2 requirement

    Hi,

    I would just like to know if SP2 require (or install) IE8, I have a computer
    that I can not install IE8 yet because the passwords will not work any more
    but I would like to install SP2 on this one as well

    you can use any
    browser to download
    the sp2 update/file.

    however, not sure
    what the gibberish
    is for regarding ie8
    and passwords.

    you can uninstall
    ie8, if it is causing
    you trouble.

    the problem is that on my laptop to acces any website that have a password I
    must use the fingertip reader, and the version that is installed from HP
    does not work with IE8, so if SP2 is installing IE8, I can not use it on my
    laptop at the moment, but if it does not install eed IE8 then I can
    install SP2

    No. It doesn't require it and it doesn't install it.
