Decided to go for help taking a hijackthis log which I guess is being
maintained by TrendSecure now. Took the log then clicked on the upload to
Trend Secure and got a list of places of where to post the log. I picked
Major Geeks and registered and posted the log. Then was looking around the
site and found one of the partners saying not to post and gave a blurb of
how to analyze the log yourself. So looked at the Geeks to Go site and they
had their supposedly better log taker programs so read up on them ran them
got the logs and went to register and found it impossible to do. So guess
I'll just take a different approach to looking for help. Anyone else having
the same problem with their HiJackThis logs?

  2. Please read this guide before actually doing the procedure

And it has all of the links for downloads you need.

Pяeparation Guide for use before posting a HijackThis Log

Alternatively you can post it on the Dell Forum ªt:

    <http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board?board.id=si_hijack>

(if it wraps you can go tº:

    <http://tinyurl.com/ckuzq> instead.)

Put Ron in the subject so he will see it. You do not need to have a Dell to
post but you will need to register.

Thanks Ron. The problem seems to have been resolved with one of todays
    Microsoft updates.

Hi, this is Blair with Geeks to Go. I'm just curious why you found it
    impossible to register?

Regarding HijackThis, Trend Micro has not done a good job of fixing
well known bugs, or updating it to be effective against modern malware.
So, many sites have begun using alternatives. The two most popular being
    OTL, and DDS:

    OTL: http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe
    and DDS: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr
