The folders that show up improperly contain images (graphics). MS has
decided that you want to see Date taken, Tags, and Rating in those
    folders.

There are a variety of "fixes" you can try. Try googling "vista folder
settings" for a zillion sites with fixes.

I've found that none of them seem to totally solve the problem. It
will still occur in some folders no matter what you do. Another Vista
    feature!

In Windows Explorer I have set my folder views so that they open in Details
and headings show Name, Date modified, Type and Size. Most of my folders
open properly but every once in a while a folder will display some (or all)
of the following headings: Date taken, Tags or Rating.

    I'm constantly going to Tools/Folder Options/View/Folder views/Apply to
Folders to set my preference. How can I get this to stick?

    Thanks.
