My screen saver has never worked for my Win 10. I never bothered to fix it since I never ran any long programs. But now I run projects that can take three to five hours for an institute.
Whenever the pc sits for ten minutes w/o mouse movement the screen goes black. A move of the mouse brings it back. If the pc sits too long w/o mouse movement the program itself shuts down and then the pc also. I tried adjusting the screen saver in the control panel but it never comes on and I do not know how to adjust the pc so it does not shut off. See the attachments.
    Thanks, Dave.

Ok Dougie thanks for the info. I changed to never sleep. I won't know if it works til 2moro when I do another project. I still do not know why my screen saver will not come on but I guess going blank is just as good as long as my pc does not go to sleep and turn off my project. Thanks again and take care.

    Hi Dave
You can get another screen saver and see if the new one works.

You can get to your screen saver settings directly by typing ‘Screen Saver’ in the taskbar search box in the lower left corner of your system. Click on ‘Change Screen Saver’ and it will take you the Screen Saver settings right away where you can adjust the settings according to your own preferences.

The first instruction worked fine. The pc does not shut off and the screen saver started working fine. Thanks.
