Right Click, SAVE PICTURE AS does not work in Vista

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by warrenthomas4001, May 24, 2009.

  1. Right Click, SAVE PICTURE AS does not work in Vista- The photo may or may
not show up in ANY picture folder. If in the off-chance, it does show up at
all, it does not produce a thumbnail image, only a blank white rectangle.
Amost all images captured from internet sites suffer the same fate.
Thumbnail will not open upon click, you have to manually open it through
Picture Gallery. If you check the properties of one of these all-blank
thumbnails, it apparently does not know that it is a .JPG!! I want images
to save with one right click, then "save as" [choose filename] and [choose
folder] JUST LIKE IN WINDOWS XP and ALL previous OS's!!!!!!!!! THis is
    HORRIBLE!! Where is the patch??!

  2. It doesn't work on YOUR computer using Vista. Works OK here.

Now, if you would like help with this how about more info. A patch is not
    needed.

*Well I also have this problem.* And I have two eyes. In fact, I have
    four, as I wear glasses.

After many fits and starts and each experience being exceedingly
frustrating (read here that I bought a brand spanking new computer over
six months ago and hate Vista so much that I've barely used it), I just
started actually using Vista this past week. Forcing myself. All I can
say is that after many years of using various Windows OS's for the past
few decades, I'm about ready to pull my hair out in clumps with Vista.
I'd take Windows 3.0 right about now. I don't have the patience to
re-learn what seems to be every last little thing I want to do. I
cannot find a thing. I hate the way it looks. I'm not happy.

*Macromedia doesn't support this OS.* If I read one more thing about a
64 bit operating system and whatever I want to do doesn't work with
    mine, I'll scream.

Every last time I want to do something, it tells me I cannot or asks me
if I'm really sure I want to do it? All Vista needs is a voice like
that Purple Dinosaur, Barney, so that I then feel like a complete
blathering idiot with the IQ of a three year old. YES - I WANT TO DO
IT. It's my computer last time I checked. And I want to do it.

And the amount of time it takes to re-boot no less boot - wonder how
many woman and man hours are wasted there? I'm dying of old age waiting
for this thing. Do I really need all it wants to be booted in the
    beginning? I'm thinking no.

The simplest things, things that in XP, 2000, 98, 95, 3.0 I'd do
mindlessly, without thinking on it for a second even, no less spending
hours researching, *I cannot do with this VISTA OS.*

    *HOW SIMPLE?*

*I cannot right click and save a photo, nor set a wallpaper as
background. *It's insane. I have to COPY, PASTE to Paint and then try
to bring the file in through the backdoor, but then it doesn't fit my
screen properly (black borders on the sides).

*I mean I cannot right click - HOW IS THAT NOT POSSIBLE?*

*I've read I have to uninstall and re-install Vista in order to get the
right click 'COPY' and 'SET AS WALLPAPER' options working again.*

    *YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME???!!!*
    *_THIS_IS_AN_IMPROVEMENT_OVER_XP?__or_3.0_FOR_THAT_MATTER?_*

Someone please tell me this ain't so.

    Christine
