Right click in Windows Explorer

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Øyvind Granberg, Jun 11, 2009.

  1. Hi...

When ever I right click in Windows Explorer it restarts.
If I right click on a file, it's all ok, but if I right click to make a new
    folder, it crashes....

    What is wrong...?

Running Windows Vista Ultimate Norwegian edition with all updates...

Problems with right-clicking are usually caused by third-party programs
putting entries into the right-click context menu. These are most easily
handled with the free ShellExView utility.

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

Manage the context-menu entries for folders, drives and Namespace objects
(also applicable to Vista) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm

  3. You are probably right.
The error message coughs up these details:

    Problemsignatur:
    Navn på problemhendelse: APPCRASH
    Programnavn: Explorer.exe
    Programversjon: 6.0.6001.18164
    Tidsstempel for program: 4907e242
    Navn på feilmodul: Convert_x86.dll
    Feilmodulversjon: 1.0.0.1
    Tidsstempel for feilmodul: 47dc7bd4
    Unntakskode: c0000005
    Unntaksforskyvning: 00006358
    OS-versjon: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1
    ID for nasjonal innstilling: 1044
    Tilleggsinformasjon 1: fd00
    Tilleggsinformasjon 2: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160
    Tilleggsinformasjon 3: fd00
    Tilleggsinformasjon 4: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160

it's seems to be something wrong with the Convert_x86.dll
Am I right or am I wrong?

  4. Re: Right click in Windows Explorer SOLVED

The file Convert_x86.dll belongs to TweakNow Windows Secrets and TweakNow
    Powerpack.
    http://www.tweaknow.com/
After uninstalling both of these programs my right menu returned flawlessly!
