removing security system

    windows vista, I tried to download Live onecare security system, but I had
    windows defender, I removed windows defender, but still I can't finish
    downloading onecare and I can't remove it neither. How can I remove it to
    download it again?

    Windows Defender is part of the operating system, and can't be removed,
    AFAIK.
    OneCare is being deprecated...


    in favor of the free MSE...


    You might try the OneCare cleanup tool...as mentioned on this page...

    You can only turn windows defender off .
