I am running Vista with Norton 360. My daughter is running XP with Norton
    360. We are both in the same area but not on the same local network.

When she requests remote assistance from me, I accept, but no connection can
be made. However, when I request remote assistance from her and she accepts,
the connection works. Any thoughts on how we get get her request to work?
Both 360 configurations are the same. Not using Windows Firewall.

    Thanks.

  3. Go to

Start | Control Panel (switch to classic view) | Administrator Tools |
    Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

I'm pretty sure this will still be enabled regardless of having a thrid
party firewall. Check the outbound rules for Remote assistance
