    OK well I was wondering.
If I bought a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate 32/64bit online, and it
says on the box "Made in Singapore" will it work here in the great USA?

Also what other countries is vista made in?

    Thanks a lot,
    David

Same question applies to Microsoft Office 2007 Professional.

Assuming they are legitimate versions, yes and yes to the Office.<!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->

I have no idea. Try Googling around.

    Hi, David.

Bits are bits. They don't have nationalities. The machines in Singapore
stamped the bits that they got from Redmond.

Just be sure you install the en-US version, not the en-AU or pt-BR or one of
the 20+ other versions on the DVD-ROM; those will run Vista fine but if you
are a typical mono-lingual American - like me - you might not be able to
read it. That's why the opening screen in Setup asks where (in the world)
you live and what language you use.

OK so it won't in-validate windows simply because of the fact that it is
not in the same region as where it says it was made (retail).

    Hi, David.

No. If it is a genuine Windows retail package, it will validate fine, no
    matter where it was made.
