Many people are having this issue with web connect. I can access the RDP
Web Connect Page on my LAN from another computer on the LAN. I can
access my computer using remote desktop client from another location
(work) as well as my LAN, I just can't remote desktop webconnect from
the internet. People get confused with remote desktop and remote desktop
web connect. Remote desktop is easy, it's web connect that is a pain in
    the butt (only on vista).

Remote desktop webconnect comes in handy when you are on a computer
that does not have the client remote desktop software (ie stipped down
client computers on a corporate LAN). With webconnect, there is no limit
to RDP connection to your box so long as you have internet access.

I have all the necessary ports open on my router and firewall,
including port forwarding etc. Vista sucks with web connect. Finnicky.
    XP was a sinch.

Again, I can access my box using web connect on my lan so the issue
must be a vista firewall. Can-u-see-me sees my machine and open
port...just not web connect. What is up????
