And watch out for the driver incompatibilities happen. Already found out my
wireless network adaptor won't have a driver for Win 7 when it is released
    on the 22nd.

  2. I ordered mine from Zipzoomfly.com

By the way, NewEgg was acquired by Amazon, same prices (usually), same
company; just 2 brands to confuse consumers into believing there's a sort of
competition and they'll get a better price.
Don't waste time. From now on if you think of NewEgg, goto amazon.com

Do you have any information to support that? Although Amazon may list some
New Egg items, I can't find anything to confirm that they have any ownership
    interest.

The odds are high that the Vista driver (assuming there is one) will work in
    Win 7.

Where did you hear this? Maybe you'd better tell Google because they don't
seem to have heard this yet. All they have is an unanswered question about
it from some guy back in 2004. If you have solid information, please post
    the link.

Or are you just trying to start a rumor?

Their Vista driver for the adapter doesn't work well anyhow. Keep getting
BSOD with the Vista driver that I never got when running under XP. Been
going back and forth with Linksys/Cisco since January on the issue. Now all
they want to do is blame Vista as the culprit after initially telling me
"they were aware of the problem." WUSB300N.SYS is a Linksys supplied driver
for their USB 300N wireless network adapter. I don't hold out hope for a
workable driver for that os either.

It is none of your business. You should stay off the Internet. You should
take a class and learn how to change your PCs clock.

  9. You're right - I just made an assumption, w/o reading it as 100% fact that 2
    companies have merged.

But this is my impression - when you Google for a part#, often if it's
listed in search results as "NEWEGG", when you follow the link it redirects
    to AMAZON.
Also everything I I needed at Newegg, was at Amazon at idnetical prices, no
variation; same items were in stock/out of stock.

Maybe it's a "PARTNERSHIP", rather than whoy-owned subsidiary?
But who cares, if you need something - buy from wherever is cheaper and/or
    better service.
If they want to merge with company X, it's none of my business unless it
    becomes a monopoly or X = Satan.
