No, they use Windows because they don't know any better. TBird, Firefox,
Open Office, etc. work just fine in Ubuntu. Course, you've never
installed Ubuntu so, naturally, you don't know what you're talking about
but that won't stop you from putting your foot in your mouth time and
    time again.

I use Windows because I learned on earlier versions of windows, had to
use it at the office, and learned to use it well enough to run the
little network as the only admin, and then became disabled. I'm in no
shape to learn something else completely from scratch just for home use.

However, I have switched to Firefox and Thunderbird simply because they
use a lot less of my resources, especially in Vista. It's my choice,
and I choose to stick with Vista (UAC running) and I choose to use the
open source browser and email client.

For the sake of discussion, I used to update and maintain a purchased
accounting suite at the office, too, but I only need a freeware digital
checkbook at home. I don't need either MS Office or Open Office because
MS Works was OEM and is adequate.

Personally, I believe Vista is a good choice for non-technologically
experienced home users, as was Win95, Win98, and probably Windows 7.

Those of you that are more technologically advanced have additional
    choices. :)

Windows has a command line (ever hear of CMD?) and the GUI in Windows,
Linux and Apple all point to the command line. I use the terminal
occasionally but I prefer the GUI as do most people. Why should I have
to click twice to open a terminal and then type in "Firefox" and hit
Enter when I can open Firefox with one click?

Now, can you answer the question without lamely grasping for a way to
put me down? How is Ubuntu less user friendly than Windows? Well?

We have no commandments. The Buddhism I practice thinks one should be
responsible for one's self and we have no need for commandments. The
religions (including provisional Buddhism) that have commandments also
believe in places called Hell or Heaven where you are judged and sent to
after you die. They are what we call "kindergarten religions", dreamed
up to scare people into behaving. We believe you can to to hell or
heaven before you die and when you die, you're reborn, not necessarily
into human form, depending on the causes you made this lifetime.

Alcohol is a drug. Tobacco has hundreds of drugs. Antibiotics are drugs.
You are a moron. Smoking cannabis in Spain is NOT illegal. That's only
true in backward countries like the USA that also believe in capital
punishment and letting poor people die instead of providing them health
    care.

BTW, for MEDICAL purposes, smoking cannabis is a LEGAL drug in YOUR
    state of residence.

Hell, as a place, doesn't exist so, of course not. Hell, as a condition
of life does exist and you've been there quite frequently using Windows.

Your lack of knowledge regarding Buddhism is as big as the Gran Canyon.
Bhagwan is a Hindi word that means "blessed one" and has nothing
whatsoever to do with the Buddhism I practice.

Considering I have not behaved abhorrently, stupidly, ignorantly or
    insultingly, no need.

No, Frank, what you post is disgusting. You accuse those you consider to
be your enemies as sons of cheap whores, commies, animal sex perverts,
etc. Projecting is your favorite game, eh, sport?
