    Ok Guys, I suffered with this problem for several days and tried every
    suggestion mentioned here to get my PPS files to work and nothing
    worked!

    BUT I did eventually get it working!

    The solution for me was to install Power Point Viewer 97! Yep, 97!!
    I uninstalled PPViewer 2003 and 2007 first although that may not be
    necessary.
    As soon as I got PPViewer 97 installed, it worked!
