Re: Boots into recovery options

    hey
    the prob i have is when i go to boot up i get the message.
    "bootmgr is compressed" and will go no further.
    i have followed this tut to get system recovery options. i have run
    startup repair and it doesnt seem to reconise this problem. it says to
    restart the computer witch puts me back to where i started from with the
    same message. please help.

    have you tried using bootsec.exe at the command line after you boot with the
    cd into recovery mode?

    try bootsec.exe /fixmbr or bootsec.exe /fixboot
