I know the new Windows Vista has parental controls that can record IM
conversatiosn, but if you don't have a downloaded IM service and are
using a web "chat" service to IM people, will it still reocrd that? Like
    web messengers?

  2. There has been a lot of discussion here about parental controls, but
unfortunately posts get deleted rather quickly over here. Anyway, I rember a
few points, so here they are.
    1. Parental control means locking out certain web addresses and content, not
collecting trails of your child's visits.
    2. Put your computer in the busy place, preferably in the living room so
that you can oversee your child's activities.
    3. Whatever restrictions you make, children communicate and share ideas, so
they'll find a way to circumvent your restrictions. They'll simply use
another computer. So, it's best to talk with children and educate them.

Hm, so you're Perfect16. Are your parents locking you out of something?
