Sometimes i accidently make two posts the same, or something I don't want, and i'm wondering why there is no delete button for a few minutes, like there is in edit

If there is a double post and it is noticed, we may delete it without notice to you, or if there are some differences we may ask. Sometimes we all double post if we think things are moving slowly etc.

At the same time you can PM any staff member and ask that it be removed or do so right on the second post using the edit button.

I know that removing your own post is allowed on some forums mostly social forums but, since we are basically a tech/help forum there are too many potential problems allowing members to delete a post. In addition our deletion process is a bit more complicated than the normal social forum and that would mean having to teach members what to do and when.

Allowing post editing for a limited period is a compromise to allow the member to correct misspellings and typos. If you are still allowed to edit, you can delete the contents of the second post and replace it with a request that it be deleted.

or as you said ediit the second one
and request a delete.
