Just to make sure, robocopy's mirror mode copies changed files over,
    does it not?

Also, I assume successive runs of "robocopy /mir" is more efficient
than successive formats / full copies? Certainly, it seems like it
should be - just check the last modified date of a file or directory
and skip over it if its the same as the last modified date on the
    destination drive.

Finally, why isn't the /xj option ("exclude junctions") the default
    behavior by default?

Yes, /mir copies any files that have changed over to the new location.
You need to be careful with this because it will also delete (by
default) files on the destination that are not there.

You can also scan your robocopy log file using a tool named Robocopy
Log Scanner, it emails you a report of errors after the job has
completed, and zip's the log file.
