problem with serial numbers

Hello all, I'm about to change my computer and I dont find some of the books
that came with my games and I need the serial to reinstall them, do you know
if there is a place in the registry that may have them ?

Setup may only require to key to continue setup, but it may not store the
key.

They won't necessarily be in the registry, either.
