PIRACY KILLS JOBS, CAREERS & CAUSES DEPRESSION

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Stan Starinski, Sep 24, 2009.

  1. It's time for US government & large corp's like Microsoft to unite and make
    CHinese pay for all this.
Increasingly when i search for anything soft-related I see Google lists many
Chinese--flavoured sites (having been a computer addict for decades, I know
how to recognize who is what in seconds... despite their American styles,
phone numbers, names), most of which are fraudulent.
Evrything is cracked. Presented as "cheap OEM backups" & other tricky
explanations for naive buyers. And maybe not so naive - those who in fact
    seek pirateware, don't read explanation.
    it goes for $50-120/piece.
This includes softs whose license is normally $20-60,000
    Want examples?

Agilent ADS, AWR Microwave Office, Cadence - anything.
Windows is actually dirt cheap comparing to these. office - 30 bucks.

Why are we sleeping? It's VERY SIMPLE. Stop buying their plastic crap for
2 months, stop filling Walmarts with cheap Asdian imports and see how they
    will panic.
Trade is the geatest friends-creator and preventor of wars. Fine.
But it should be FAIR & FREE, not just FREE.
If they crack our software thereby destroying many white-collar
professionals futures I know PERSONALLY (people whose jobs flew out to China
& India), then we should feel fine about doing the same reciprocally. We
should make "chinese" hebrs, food, whatever in Hicksville, USA in some
basement and slap fake labels "Genuine Jing Zhang" & sell Kung Fu tutorials
    without regard to original authors.

OK I am not serious, but this has to stop one day.
I am not fond of sweating and getting a headache designign something that
will be stolen, re-branded and sold many times over back to this country, so
my job will become redundant and fruits of my labour will be exploited by
some scummy kid in a dar basement copying, copying, copying... our
    inventions

You post is OT but, I agree abso*******lutey !
Container loads of Chinese CRAP pouring into the UK here, like there is no
    tommorrow.
2 electric power stations coming online every week in China was it ?
....and the UK government hasn't got the balls, or sense to ban, or at least
quality control the s**t that's being imported !

UK Media is continuing to pump out the "Global warming" theme, ...often with
a brief close up shot of a car exhaust !! What a laugh !
I think it was James Lovelock, (Gaia theory
), (...I may well be wrong but,
    I think it was him),
....who pointed out that, "...despite some lcoalised problems, in some
cities, around the world, air pollution caused the motor car, WORLDWIDE, is
dwarfed into almost TOTAL INSIGNIFICANCE by that from air traffic !!!!!
...of course the main problem here in the UK is traffic "congestion," NOT
    pollution !
It's obviously unnecessary air traffic that needs to be stopped but, instead
of that happening - it's almost a taboo subject, and the motor car gets all
    the blame !

    regards, Richard
