Pictures folder suddenly a Big secret???

    Hi gang,

I now have an ever increasing amount of photos on my PC due to the fact
that I have a new guide dog. Anyway, until the last few months, when
opening the Pictures folder I was able to preview each picture/photo at
a glance - using Windows Photo Gallery - without having to double-click
on any one in particular, before being able to see the photo.

Now unfortunately, for some unknown reason, I am only able to see the
filename of each picture/photo with some sort of cover - presumably a
Vista-ism that is no help at all!!

Does anyone know which setting previews each picture/photo when viewed
    as Large Icons?

    Many thanks,
    Chris

Your post is a bit confusing...
if you have a guide dog, then I'm assuming you are blind.

If so, why are you trying to look at pictures...
what kind of cover are you talking about?

    You are opening Photo Gallery?
If you are using explorer, make sure to select from the Views menu toolbar
up top select medium or large icons.

You are a total idiot if you think that a person with a guide dog i
totally and completely blind; have you never heard the expression
    "visually impaired"?

    Hi,
In Control Panel> Folder Options> View, uncheck "Always show icons, never
    thumbnails."

    Hope this helps,

Yes. I know a number of visually impaired people and they do not use
guide dogs...the people who use them are those who cannot see

There is a regular poster on one of the digital photography ngs who
posts pictures of -- his guide dog! Plonk, as they say.

Yes I pretty much assumed the OP was a troll...

As I mentioned...I know quite a few people who are legally blind...
but none of them need guide dogs.

If one can see well enough to do photography a guide dog is not necessary
