I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit,my problem is that having
upgraded from Adobe Photoshop 7 to CS3,I cannot get the CS3 recognised
    as the default image software.
Any images already saved previously will only open in Photoshop 7.I
have tried deleting the older version but this only renders the images
    un-viewable.
I have tried the various methods reccomended on the web,but can't find
a way to get CS3 into 'default panel'.
Is this a Photoshop issue or is it a Vista peculiarity.
    All assistance gratefully accepted![IMG]

There's couple different ways to do this.

    Method One:

    1. Right-click on the picture, select properties

    2. You should see Opens with: and the name of the application

    3. Click on the Change... button

    4. You should see a list of Recommended Programs

    5. If it's not in the list, look under Other Programs... click on the upside
down ^ to display the list.

    6. If it's not listed there, then hit Browse button... and go to C:\Program
    Files\Adobe ... it's probably in there somewhere.

    Method Two:

    1. Right-click on the picture, select Open With

    2. Ignore the list and select Choose Default Program...

Now you're at the same place as Method 1: number 4.
