I ran a Reliability & Performance check which said 3 NVIDIA drivers were
causing my PC to resume slowly and to consider uninstalling them if I no
longer use them. How can I find out if I need them and how are they
uninstalled - I'm on Vista Home Premium 32 Bit, Version 6.0 (Build 6002:
Service Pack 2) and only have basic knowledge of OS's..

    The drivers are

NVIDIA Compatible Windows Vista Kernel Mode Driver, versions
    - 158.18, date reported 12 Jun 2008, delay 9.4 secs
    - 163.69, date reported 31 Dec 2008, delay 9.3 secs
    - 182.50, date reported 22 Jul 2009, delay 7.6 secs

  2. Despite my laptop's manufacturer claims (HP) and Microsoft 9Vista) I
successfully went to nVidia wenbsite and downlaoded the BEST driver lame HP
site failed to even list, and still listed 2 year old obsoletes.
The dorver i got was almost 200Mb as it covered multiple GeForceGo (mobile)
videocards, and is a beauty & healthy on the eyes, and all my highend CAD
packages work with it in DirectX 10.

So... go check nVidia site and ignore HP admonitions.

Wait for others to suggest before trying.

Go to Nvidia website and let the auto tool suggest video drivers. Also
check for other Motherboard drivers. Download these to somewhere easy to
    find like desktop.

Go to control panel (The desktop one) and remove old drivers, especially
the video drivers, not so much the others.

Reboot, you MUST do this and it might be wise to disable antivirus
although I've never seen that cause trouble.

Warning, the above will likely make a complete mess of your screen layout.

Now install other drivers, is you got a set for the motherboard as well
do these separately and reboot on between, you will probably be forced
    to do that anyways.

Screw ups with video drivers can really make a mess of things so if not
sure ask again, but just make sure you reboot after uninstalling ...
