ntdll.dll problem

    Hi,

Cutting a long story short... purchased MS Flight Sim X - will not install -
phoned MS tech support who took control of my machine only to be told that
there is a problem with my ntdll.dll (possibly corrupt) yet this is the only
time I have had any problem. Tech guy advised re-installing vista. I do not
want to have to do that. My PC has a 'recovery' partition on which I found
an earlier version of this file and I tried to copy it over to the
windows\system32 folder but windows will not allow this due to permissions.
I tried going to safe mode and taking ownership but it still didn't allow me
to rename the ntdll.dll to ntdll.bup (to allow the copy over).

    Can anyone help with this?

    Many thanks....

    Jim
