I have been on a computer since 2007. learning with a 2 hour slot from a local T.V. station.
I arrived at the firm where the lesson was to be given. Two other people were there, a couple.
A lady explained `what` I have to do. The computer screen showed a car number plate, say
123 ABC, and after showing me, how to change the `A` to a `T`, I forgot everything, and had
to call her back from her computer. A while later I managed it, although I could not find the `back `
button. My 2 hours were up, and I had changed, my number plate.
I went on to our local library, signed a form for 50 minutes on one of their computers. When they
were not busy, I was allowed to use one all the afternoon, about 3 hours.

I thought I knew who you were! Glad to have you here. I merged your 2 posts into one so if there seems like a bit of duplication it is of my doing! :)

Medway County never heard of it, where's that thinks me, Rochester, :) Formed in 1998, but contains some of the oldest landmarks in the country.

But you'll be Glad to know we have quite a good active UK membership, not forgetting those in other commonwealth countries.

Thats right Match, Rochester, Chatham, and Gillingham, make up the Medway County, named after the river Medway.
We lost our CITY status when we applied to be made a county. The Queen must approve our application this year,
to be a city again. You do not have to have a cathedral now, for the Queen to make your town a city.

The town of Blackburn has a cathedral, but we cannot get city status as the town isn't big enough (yet). It is size of town and population that counts now, not a cathedral it seems.

Oh, and welcome to Computer Help Forums, hope you get the best from us.

Yes I noticed the absence of a Cathedral, when Wolverhampton was granted its City Status for the millennium, Shame really as I think it would be nice to have some new Cathedrals being built, instead of shopping Centers or sculptures being placed in the center of traffic Islands.

It would seem Edward VII is the one to blame :)

Thanks Match, very interesting is that. I doubt we will be getting the status, too late in applying for it for this year by the looks of it. Though we did get a mention a couple of times.
