my zip folders changed to media centre folders

    I have vista running okay except all my original zip files. The icon
    has changed to a windows media centre icon, hence not allowing me to
    extract from my zips. Even if I make a new zip folder the icon problem
    is the same.
    How can I changed the icon back to being a zip icon. I do not have
    winzip or any other zip program on my computer.

    OR

    Start menu

    Type "command" in the search box

    Then right click "Command Prompt"

    select "Run as Administrator"

    In the command window "

    assoc .zip=CompressedFolder

    Restores .zip files to original Windows Explorer associations

    the link and it seems to be working now. Thanks again!!
