My aero feature is gone!

    Hi, ive always use vista home premium, but after I used glary tools to
    defrag my regestry and then it said restart my comp annd i did, then whe
    i go to my pc, i see it has windows basic features, like on aero. So i
    went to personalinize and I SEE NO AERO feature! Help, I really don't
    know hwy this is happening!

    Well, how do i change back before that in system restore?? I cant
    restore back!

    I took a shower this morning and I used glary soap. Smells so good.

    I'd try a system restore to a point before you defragged your registry.

    Incidentally, I like Glary Tools but I stay away from mucking with the
    registry.

    Is there a function to reverse the changes? You will have to look for
    yourself as I have zero intention of installing, running and finding out for
    myself..

    When you do recover from it, uninstall Glary Tools and do not re-install it
    or anything similar..

    Having used a snake oil registry "reamer" to sabotage your own
    computer, you best course of action may well be to format the hard drive
    and re-install everything from scratch. Before doing so, however, you
    could try restoring the registry to its original condition by using
    either a system restore point, or by restoring the backup of the
    registry that you made before running the crap-ware.

    Why its happening? Simple, you used a "registry cleaner". DON'T USE
    THOSE! Registry cleaners are nothing but bad news and now you know why.
    Consider that a lesson learned.

    Actually, ii dont think it had to do with the registry, cause it was
    just my monitor was set to 16bit and i turned it back to 32 bit which
    enabled all the features. Cheers:party:

    No, no, no, it was your registry. If it wasn't, all the "hammers"
    around here who only see "nails" can't rail on about registry
    cleaners.
