Could someone with Windows Vista SP2 check MSINFO32 (6.0.6002.18005) to see
if it's generating .nfo file properly?

Open msinfo32, save .nfo file and try opening it.

    Thanks.

  2. So what if it does open and save correctly? You still have a problem. HA

Yes - it does save .nfo file and opens it as well.

    Thanks a lot.

I don't know why I didn't bother searching for this problem on my own.

Doesn't work. Anyways, it occurs even when I try to open it from inside
    msinfo32.

I'm not trying to access it from the floppy drive. The .nfo file is my
Documents folder on the hard drive.

XML Viewer says there's an invalid character in the text document, but it
doesn't tell me where it is.

Thanks for replying, I appreciate your efforts.
