monitor won't come out of sleep

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Kent McPherson, Jun 22, 2009.

  1. 9 times out of 10 when I get up in the morning, my PC which is set up to go
into sleep mode after an hour is running, i.e. fans running, lights on, etc.
but the monitor has no signal. No matter what I do, the only thing I can do
to bring it back is a hard reboot. I have a bluetooth wireless mouse and
keyboard. I have all the latest drivers for that and the video card. Any
ideas on how to fix this?

Possibly an issue with the mouse / keyboard. You could try a standard
keyboard to see if that's the case.

I have the SAME EXACT problem. I've asked on here five or six times and no
one seems to have an answer. The computer goes to sleep and then I can wake
it with the mouse or keyboard sometimes. Other times, the hard drive boots
up, but no monitor or keyboard lights. I have to hold down the power button
for the hard reboot. My mouse and keyboard are wired. I'd love to find the
    solution to this.
