microsoft windows operating system has stopped working

Upon logging into windows vista, I receive the error "Microsoft windows
operating system has stopped working." Ive isolated the cause of the
error to (mspaint "c:\windows\system32\paint.exe" -autocheck). Any
solution to this problem??

Hi,

Why would paint be in the startup axis? There's no reason for it, and that's
not the proper executable (the real one is mspaint.exe). I would suspect a
malware issue if your file name is correct.
