Microsoft BING Search Page

I have MSN as my home page but whenever I log out of my Hotmail account
instead of taking me back to my MSN Home page I get Microsoft's BING Search
Home Page. This just started a couple of days ago. Prior to yesterday my
home page would reload after logging out of Hotmail. I have tried deleting
all MSN and MSN Live cookies but nothing works. How do I get rid of MSN
taking me to their BING Search Page without my consent after singing out of
    Hotmail.

Quit using Hotmail? That's the only way, you can't control how THEIR
site works. Geez, you make it sound like they are hijacking your
browser. They aren't. They just changed the redirect from THEIR Hotmail
website to THEIR Search Page. You can't control that.

No idea. On both of my hotmail accounts when I log out of Hotmail I end up
at the MSN homepage, not the Bing homepage.

Same here. I'm using WinXP Pro + IE7. Logging out of Hotmail redirects me to
msn.com. I'm guessing MS is gradually rolling out the new "redirect to bing"
depending where (city/state) we are surfing from.

I've heard of the issue here from some hotmail users who want to know
    WTF Bing is.

Looks like MS's usual strategy of ramming it down user's throats.

They are not ramming it down anyones throats, ..if you dont like it,
DONT USE HOTMAIL...pretty simple, hell even you +Bob+ should be able to
    understand that

I wouldn't use Hotmail if you paid me, nym-shift-boy. However, some
people, mostly those who are barely computer literate (like you), do.
They are ramming it down the throats of those folks. If the EU hadn't
kicked their monopolistic ass they would have made it the welcome
screen for Win7. You should still expect it to be prominently
    featured, particularly in US versions.

You're here early - half day at the Jr. High?

Obviously he doesn't understand that. I don't see how they are ramming
anything down anyone's throats. Yeah, if you use Hotmail you will
probably get redirected to their search engine when you log out. What
did you expect? To get redirected to Google? Its not like the Home page
is hard-coded to the Bing Search engine NOR do you have pop-ups every
5min. advertising the Bing Search engine.

I fail to see the problem, but then again I'm not an anti-MS troll.

  9. A friend of mine just had to deal with this.
I took a look at the Home Page settings in Internet Options, & it had 2
    entries-the msn.com entry & live.com below it. I removed the one for
live.com & now it only opens to the MSN.com page.
I didn't stick around to see if it was added back after he signed in/out of
    his Hotmail account, though.

Neither am I. Do you even know what a troll is? Why don't you do some
reading and come back when you are educated.
