[Solved] Laptop runs very slow

Apps and processes are very slow to activate. Even Edge and File Explorer are sluggish. The cursor spins and spins. I often get a "not responding" notice. I ran Malware Bytes and Adware Cleaner with no malware found. I cleaned my caches using CCleaner.

 

See how it runs in Safe Mode.

If it runs fine in Safe Mode, then you have a software problem.

If it doesn't run fine, then you probably have a failing hard drive.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that given the possibility of the hard drive failing, make sure your data is backed up if needed.

 

Case closed. I reset Win to an earlier date after results of safe mode. Thank you.
