Hello I am a new member and a complete computer dummy. Even computer for dummy books are overwhelming to me so please be patient with me.
I have a email issue that I thought out there may be able to help me with.
When I got into my Hotmail account and wanted to send a new message, I clicked into the area to access the email address of the person I would send the message to, all my contact addresses would appear and I would just click on that and send.
Yesterday I tried to send a message and all my contacts have disappeared. I can no longer find the contact list now.
Any ideas on why this has happened? A virus?
    help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe but it could also relate to Microsoft's conversion to Outlook.com.

What sort of security protection do you have on your machine?

Microsoft changed the hotmail accounts to Outlook. The interface is quite different. At the top left
window use the drop-down menu next to Outlook. Select the People tile and this will show all your
    email contacts. See screenshots below.....

I just returned to my in box and tried again to find my contacts and they have just magically appeared. Very strange as I didn't do anything different than before. There you go eh the magic of cyber word. Thank you to the two who replied to my post.
